Day 1 of starting your first project

Some of my friends wanted to start digital scrapbooking. I suggested the following:

1. They purchase Paint Shop Pro or if they have money to spare Photo Shop.
2. They create a directory system that looks something like:

3. I changed Janelle Family's January 2010 Calendar template to an 8 1/2 x 11 format. I asked them to put it in the templates directory. I also requested they put a thank you in her comments. If you need to downsize your calender as I did, check out our post "Cunning conversion down."

4. I asked them to go to Lilybelle's blog and get her Almost Winter Papers and Elements. I asked them to put it in the Downloads directory under Lilybelle. I also requested they leave her a thank you comment.

5. We are going to get together next week and walk through how the layers work and how to use the electronic paper and elements in a digital scrapbook template.

Next week, I will give more information on how it went, what questions they asked and if we succeeded in getting 2 or 3 new people started in digital scrapbooking!
